Louise Alexandra is a Boston-grown, Utrecht-based jazz vocalist and singer/songwriter. While her dayjob is as a scientist developing novel cancer immunotherapies, you can enjoy her singing here on Spotify at any time! Her debut album Destiny (2012, under Louise Van Aarsen) received positive accolades all around. The incomparable jazz vocalist Rebecca Parris directed Destiny as well as the 2020 album TODAY , but unfortunately passed before seeing this last production come to life. The dedication is evident. The songs on TODAY are infused with her musical spirit, and if one listens closely, her voice. Louise’s original tunes are stories of life and love that are accordingly diverse in arrangement, rhythm and feel. The few jazz standards included on the album have an original twist. The impressive band on Today is: Paul McWilliams (piano), Fernando Huergo (bass), Martin Vazquez (Drums/Percussion), Mike Turk (Harmonica), Bill Vint (Saxes/ flute), Doug Hammer (piano, synths/recording/engineering).
