The common thread in Løvfald (Leaf Fall in English) is Nordic jazz, with traits of minimalism and impressionism. The sound of the group is characterized by epic soundscapes, with catchy grooves and melodies. The two permanent members of the group is the classical pianist Jakob Horsbøl Andersen and the rhythmic drummer Jesper Runchel Schierling. At live concerts the group expands with one or more guest musicians.
Jakob and Jesper started their friendship at the conservatory in Esbjerg, after a long collaboration with a single composition. It has since grown into several compositions, which is also the goal of the group - to write and present original and fresh material.
