Luba Magnus is one of the most unique stand-up acts you can find, and a staple in Canada’s alt comedy scene.
Her debut stand-up album “Baba Luba” has received critical acclaim: NPR’s Bullseye With Jesse Thorn described it as “enthusiastic, warm, and weird” in their 2022 Stand-Up Comedy Spectacular, amongst acts such as Tig Notaro, Jen Kirkman, and Roy Wood Jr. Paste Magazine listed it #10 in their Best Comedy Albums of 2022, describing it as “equal parts clever and nonsensical with her creative wordplay”.
Luba has toured across Canada, was selected to perform in SiriusXM’s 2019 Top Comic competition, and was nominated as a “Breakout Comic of the Year” at Toronto’s I Heart Jokes Awards.
