LUCA KOALA is Russian-born, internet-raised electronic artist. He moved to the U.S. as a teenager, passed the bar, and practiced international law to get his green card. With the card in his hands, LUCA left law and moved to New York to make dance music.
For two years, LUCA ran a multimedia performance space in New York’s Lower East Side. Unfortunately, the landlord asked him to leave when the parties got too rowdy.
So LUCA moved again, this time to London. Because it has foxes and Lily Allen. LUCA has claimed he makes music to make his dad Porter Robinson proud, but Porter has denied fatherhood and pointed to Dylan Brady and Laura Les instead.
During breaks from crafting blissful futuristic bangers, LUCA makes surrealist art and high-fashion designs under the moniker ATE TOO MANY MUSHROOMS.
