Luce, founded in 2000, evolved out of San Francisco. The band was founded by lead singer Tom Luce and includes: keyboardist/producer Adam Rossi, Brian Zalewski on drums, bassist Alex Cordrey, lead guitarist Dylan Brock and trumpet player Dustin Hengl.
Luce's self-titled album, released in 2001, met with success in the Bay Area, winning the California Music Award for Outstanding Debut. Legendary San Francisco radio station KFOG embraced the band, and soon, WXPN Philadelphia and others started playing; "Good Day" which peaked at #29 on the Billboard Adult Top 40 chart[1] and heard in the films 13 Going on 30 and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. Luce's music was used in the shows The O.C., Alias, and was featured in multiple adds.
Luce's second album, Never Ending, was released April 19, 2005, and the first single, "Buy A Dog", was the most played song on at least 13 radio stations; including KFOG and WRLT in Nashville. On Nov. 6 of '05, Tom Luce and Adam Rossi sang the national anthem at Kansas City's Arrowhead Stadium before a Chiefs-Raiders game.
In 2007 the band suffered two setbacks; Tom Luce's San Francisco home burnt to the ground, and the band's trailer containing all their equipment was stolen while on tour. The band broke up for a short time before regrouping and reassembling. In 2009, Luce signed with Opus Music Ventures, and released their third album, "Corner of the World".
The band continues to perform and is writing a new collection of songs for 2023.
