LUCIA (Lucia Hakbijl, 2002)
Is a Dutch soul and jazz singer-songwriter. Inspired by situations that move her. LUCIA writes about her deep emotions and personal experiences. Think of topics such as depression, stress, loneliness, feminism and being part of the LGBTQ+ community. “Every song is like a part of my diary”. In 2023 she performed at Bevrijdingsfestival Zuid Holland and In 2022 she was in the Dutch finally of “De Grote Prijs van Rotterdam”. She has been the support act for <a href="spotify:artist:50gPQYV9WREGkWM53dNb9r" data-name="Izo FitzRoy">Izo FitzRoy</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2KV4sKhTlyrtxaJWZTPj8r" data-name="Steffen Morrison">Steffen Morrison</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:5iFyVnPvgc3b4bduxnqn6l" data-name="Bo Saris">Bo Saris</a>, among others. With a warm, intimate and powerful voice, LUCIA sings with her heart and soul and leaves an impression that you will not soon forget.

LUCIA's debut single "Our Logic" released in July 2023. After 3 years of hard work she released her debut EP “I Know Better” fully independent + a big release show in Rotterdam. All the songs have been recorded and produced by Stijn Donders. The musicians on this EP are from all over the Netherlands. With an old skool, neo soul, big band sound, LUCIA creates a breath of fresh air in combination with a melancholic feeling.
