Foort is a respected DJ/producer, based in Rotterdam, whose ‘progressive’ house tracks have appeared on mix compilations by world-renowned DJs such as Sasha, Nick Warren, Seb Fontaine and John Digweed. Musically trained, Foort is a saxophonist as well as a DJ. He was inspired by hearing Sasha and Digweed play at London’s Ministry Of Sound in 1994 and performed his first set at Club Carrera in Rotterdam in the same year. He has recorded numerous tracks as Funk Function, Groove Delight and Dutch Liquid. His remix work for labels such as Digweed’s Bedrock, Postiva Records, 3 Beat, Cyber and React Music, in addition to two mix compilations for the United label, have helped raise his international profile and to secure Foort regular appearances at the UK’s Gatecrasher.
