“… one of the best country bands, with the emphasis on band, out of Texas
for a very long time.” -- Jim Caligiuri, The Austin Chronicle
“The Lucky Pierres are, in fact, the very model of a ‘Real Country’ band, steeped in the tradition but not retro, forward looking but not alternative, they tread a fine line between recreating country music and reinventing it.” -- John Conquest, 3rd Coast Music
Formed in 1995 and based in Dallas, TX, Lucky Pierres played their first few gigs at the legendary roots music bar, Naomi’s, on Canton Street in Deep Ellum. The band has brought their blend of hard honky-tonk shuffles, driving train beats, country-rock, and Americana to nightclubs and special events in North Texas and beyond ever since. Lucky Pierres recordings include the new 6-song collection, Stay in the Shadow, available on April 10, 2023, and the EP, Good Provider, and the long-players, My Temptation, Cloverleaf, and Cocktail Country.
“… reclaiming country both from the new “pop” country that Nashville cranks out these days and from the alternative country scene as well; there is no irony here because there does not need to be.” -- Zac Crain, The Dallas Observer
The Lucky Pierres, of Dallas, are Michele Pittenger (vocals), Bart Chaney (bass), Kim Herriage (guitar, steel guitar), Philip Prince (guitar) and Frank Pittenger (drums).
