Luís Couto is a Brazilian singer-songwriter based in Stockholm (Sweden).
Born in Minas Gerais state, the musician grew up surrounded by artists and enthusiasts. His journey in songwriting began at 20 when he was invited to join <a href="spotify:artist:4Lhvs3EOLxuVAoLpj51ONH" data-name="Churrus">Churrus</a> - indie/shoegaze/dream pop band, based in São João Del Rei. Part of the Midsummer Madness cast, the band has opened for <a href="spotify:artist:1PokjXeIq2zVosXbTEaNlx" data-name="J Mascis">J Mascis</a> ( <a href="spotify:artist:267VY6GX5LyU5c9M85ECZQ" data-name="Dinosaur Jr.">Dinosaur Jr.</a> ) at Circo Voador, legendary venue in Rio de Janeiro. At the same time, he founded a new band: <a href="spotify:artist:4TpwBG8CAF1ZLYlbNFa9NX" data-name="Devise">Devise</a>, inspired by Britpop, Madchester and alternative rock. Devise gained prominence in the Brazilian independent rock scene. In over ten years, with three albums, two EPs, and several singles, the band was regularly featured in major Brazilian music and culture outlets.
