Luis Macedo is a professional and percussionist trumpet player from Portugal. Known for being the Lead Trumpet from the renowned European jazz orchestra and Latin Grammy Nominated, Matosinhos Jazz Orchestra (OJM), and freelancer studio drummer and multi-percussionist.
Throughout his career, Luis has been performing, recording and collaborating with musicians and orchestras worldwide such as Richard Bona, HR BigBand (Frankfurt Radio), Melissa Aldana, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Chris Cheek, Perico Sambeat, Andrew Rathbun Large Ensemble, Rebecca Martin, Larry Grenadier, among many others. Luis is currently a Yamaha Music Global official Artist, Meinl Cymbals Artist and sE Electronics Artist.
