Lukas James, a singer-songwriter from Sarasota, Florida, embarked on his musical journey in a rather unexpected way. At the age of 14, he tried to impress a longtime childhood crush during a Skype call by singing at her request. This unique moment led to a revelation – he discovered a genuine enjoyment for singing. He began sharing his talent on Instagram, growing a dedicated following. At 15, he auditioned for an ABC network show called "Boyband" in LA, making it to the top 30 contestants but not advancing further. However, this experience inspired him to continue honing his skills by creating captivating cover videos.

In 2018, as his social media presence grew to more than 100,000 loyal fans, Lukas’ dedication and talent caught the attention of his favorite artist, Shawn Mendes, who offered words of encouragement during a spontaneous FaceTime call. Shortly after, Shawn Mendes also introduced Lukas to his fanbase during an Instagram livestream with one hundred thousand people watching.

Lukas signed with 300 Entertainment, one of the leading record labels today, in 2019. However, after parting ways with them, he took a hiatus of three years, during which he didn't touch a guitar or sing a note. It was a period of reflection and rediscovery. Now in 2023, with the return of his new song "Phases”, Lukas has found his love for music once again. This track symbolizes a testament to his enduring passion, and the beginning of a new chapter in his musical journey.
