Although growing up surrounded by music of all genres, it wasn’t until his late teens that Luke found his own unique voice; mixing his baritone vocal cadences and riffs championed by soul and blues artists alike. Whilst still sticking within the margins of pop music, attributing genres such as classic R&B, swing, rock, funk and disco can clearly be heard within his music.

Adding to this equation his proud Northern heritage and upbringing, steeped heavily in the clubland culture prevalent in and around his hometown; Luke Carey the performer somehow embodies the perfect combination of the veteran showman and likable confidante.
