My name is Łukasz, but I go by Luke. I write songs, sing and play the piano. People make music for many different reasons—mine is to express myself in a way I cannot otherwise do. A meaningful combination of words, melody and chords speaks to me more than anything else. When my ideas take on shape, I go back to studio. I don’t work with labels, so I spend my savings to produce my music, but it’s worth it. It feels good to look back at what I’ve created and be proud of it. Plus, it helps me to reconnect with who I was and what I felt at the time of recording it.
Among my influences are artists such as Antony and the Johnsons, Bruce Springsteen, Grzegorz Turnau, Roo Panes, Marek Grechuta, Ólafur Arnalds, Ludovico Einaudi, Melody Gardot and Nick Drake.
