Luna Sol is a well-respected high desert rock band led by experienced singer and lead guitarist David Angstrom, known for his work in bands such as Hermano and Supafuzz. In its 14th year, Luna Sol is set to release its latest album, "Vita Mors" on 09.20.24 through Ripple Music. The album was recorded by David and mixed and mastered by Jason Groves (Supafuzz/Asylum On The Hill alum). Ty Tabor (King's X) also contributed to mastering a few tracks.
"Vita Mors" introduces drummer Zeth Pedulla and bassist Doug Tackett. The album blends heavy and intimate sounds, showcasing Angstrom's desire to evolve while staying true to his Southern Kentucky roots. Doug and Zeth provide a solid foundation for Angstrom's musical vision, building upon the journey that began with the band's previous albums, "Blood Moon" and "Below The Deep".
Collaborating with friends from various bands, Luna Sol continues its communal sound on "Vita Mors" including friends from Hermano, Supafuzz, Disengage, Black Stone Cherry, Asylum on the Hill, and Kingfish. Previous albums included guests from Guns ’n Roses, Kyuss, the Kentucky Headhunters and Queens of the Stone Age. The first single, "Low 'n Easy", is scheduled for release in June, followed by "Evil (Is On The Rise)" in July and "Head In A Hole" in August. Angstrom expressed excitement for the upcoming releases, stating, "The riffs are flowing, the tones are massive...and the fun continues."
