Forged in the heart of the Lake District, Lunar Collegia’s four members met at college and rapidly bonded during late night jams to create a sound as fresh as the crisp morning air from whence they hail.
Comprised of Jamie Johnson on vocals/rhythm guitar, Josh Jackson on drums/backing vocals, Danny Walker on guitar and Dan Harrison on bass the quartet started out life as Monday Club before changing their name early on and haven’t looked back since, selling out their live debut show.
Combining soaring, sing-along choruses, sparkling, reverb drenched cleans and emotionally charged lyrics their sound is an engrossing, modern roller coaster ride. The various sounds of their influences, be it Catfish and the Bottlemen, Fatherson or Biffy Clyro are all present in a silky amalgamation that achieves the remarkable feat of sounding simultaneously comforting yet fiercely bold.
