The native of Lexington, KY, with a journey through Dallas, TX, and now Los Angeles, CA, Lunar Rae’s name reflects her artistic philosophy—Lunar symbolizes the rhythm of time and femininity, while Rae stands for Reaching Authentic Essence. A Berklee alumna, Amber’s influences range from J Dilla to NERD to Mint Condition to Radiohead. She’s collaborated on stage with Jon Batiste, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Big Wild, Blk Odyssy, and many more, always striving to create music that resonates with authenticity and soul. Amber’s approach to music is a reflection of her diverse background. Whether behind the drums, producing a track, or writing songs, she draws from a rich well of influences and life experiences.
