The West Chester, PA-based jam band Lunch Box Heroes formed during the spring of 1996, originally comprising the acoustic trio of singer/guitarist Steven "Styles" Liberace, singer Deana Kaley and saxophonist Scott "Skeeter" Blanford. A few months later the line-up expanded to include drummer Jeffrey "Cheezball" Piscitello and bassist Johnny Myers; honing a sound which fused modern rock and jazz, the Heroes soon earned a devoted cult following and in 1997 issued their self-titled debut album.
