Luvjonez is a Puerto Rican lofi hip hop beatmaker and producer based in Portland, Oregon. He mixes influences from Down South, to East Coast, to the Pacific Northwest, into a genre-bending mix of lofi, jazzy, downtempo, boom bap, crate digging, and some upbeat Caribbean vibes. His influences include DJ Shadow, DJ Krush, Jake One, Black Milk, Dilla, Madlib, Apollo Brown, and contemporaries like Evil Needle, DJ Grumble, Handbook, Tainy, and Kaelin Ellis.
Primarily an instrumental artist, he also collaborates on singles and albums with emcee’s, vocalists, and musicians from around the world including artists from Japan, Mexico, The Philippines, Poland, and Russia. In addition to production, he also runs A Beat Happening (@abeathappening), an all ages, free, monthly music producer showcase in Portland and licenses music for podcasts and film projects with Marmoset Music.
