Lya Mendes is an independent artist from Paris who writes music under the name of lya!. After being in the band Two Trains Left from age 15 to 19, she worked on her solo project called French Fries, which she composed and then recorded at Alias Studio with producer Bert Poncet from the band Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! in 2019. At the age of 22, and after being through the pandemic, she released her debut EP « French Fries » in March 2022.
