Lydia Violet is an Iranian-Armenian-American multi-instrumentalist in love with the sultry and powerful combination of fiddle, banjo, gospel-inspired vocals, and sometimes even beats and bass. She is inspired to create landscapes of sound that honor folk music traditions, tell stories of cultural inheritance, and move our bones. She is moved in our time to build community solidarity and gatherings soaked in the beauty of honesty and companionship, which she does through her organization, Music As Medicine Project.
