Lyla Thompson

Lyla Thompson is a singer-songwriter from the US, but is currently living in London, UK. Her music contains a blend of nature, love, folklore... and more. Country, folk, and singer-songwriter genres have been used to describe her sound. Some of her influences include Joni Mitchell, Aimee Mann, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and Shovels and Rope. She enjoys storytelling through her lyrics and captivating her audience in her live performances.
Originally coming from Louisiana, Lyla hopes to spread more awareness about the beautiful state and other topics she likes to write/sing about. Her original song and first single release, "The Rougaroux of Bayou Blue", is a great example of authentic Louisiana folklore and her love for the nature of the Southern swamplands.
