Following on from the previous cross-Atlantic collaboration with Foozool and Curtly Thomas, receiving positive reviews from Line Of Best Fit, Radar Radio, NTS Radio and Insert, Lyle’s no-nonsense, avant-garde angst returns, and tears through high-fidelity production. Lyle continues to stand behind unusual, linear structures and bear everything to the pop audience with a new EP, to be released via Lyle’s own label, Morning Routine. The glaring track, Bathing, allows Lyle to show off twisted and mouthy vocalisations, which dramatically resonate in a space during live performances.
Lyle spent 2017 performing their live set as a band in London and Sussex, as well as creating radio shows on his Radar Radio residency, as well as appearing on NTS and 199 Radio. In January 2018, Lyle was interviewed on Netil Radio and since has been on Rinse France, Hotel Radio Paris, Sub City Radio, on behalf of Morning Routine. Lyle has also been collaborating closely with his band members, Leonard Doob and Don Sinini, as well as Ninja Tune’s Nabihah Iqbal. Lyle is launching Morning Routine with an EP launch in July at The Waiting Room, with subsequent events to follow this year. Lyle is based between the hi-fidelity surroundings of Cowden, Kent, and the lo-fi architecture of London, where the band reside and recorded much of the EP material. Lyle has a versatile perspective to sound and an inner focus in the landscape of the music industry.
