Lyre ‘n’ Rhapsody is an acoustic band that promotes the refined sound of the Ancient Greek Lyre and the profound sound of the Greek Daouli. Solo singing and harmonies of female voices are blended into the sound creating a unique musical result of simplicity and depth.
The music performed is compositions on Ancient Greek Lyrical Poetry or Greek Traditional Songs. The 12 strings Lyre is an ideal instrument for embracing the Sapphic spirit, while the Daouli supports the Lyre with rhythm and strength.
