Lysgaard

Lysgaard spent the first years of his career becoming one of Scandinavia's most technically gifted DJs before his tracks started showing up in fellow DJs' USB sticks but never releasing anything to a wider audience. That iron curtain of techno is now starting to lift, as Lysgaard has been releasing a steady stream of singles lately, all under the radar with no major label backing. His debut EP "Assemble" sold out on vinyl on Juno in less than a day, so word seems to be getting around somehow still.

Inspired by acts like <a href="spotify:artist:4EF5vIcCYKMM61oYOG2Tqa" data-name="ESG">ESG</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:7A0awCXkE1FtSU8B0qwOJQ" data-name="Jamie xx">Jamie xx</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1gkSl4XpHIHI4I1WQbfXOE" data-name="Peaches">Peaches</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:5TkylUv5ysSbNoawmn3PBj" data-name="Agar Agar">Agar Agar</a> his sound seems to be swimming the sea between acid house, Detroit techno and 80&#39;s Japanese power-ballads, all filtered through the misty woodlands of western Norway.
