M-D is a Canadian rapper, singer, producer, and alumnus of Fanshawe's Music Industry Arts course. He was born and raised in Durham, Ontario, Canada. At the age of 13, he moved to the city of Owen Sound, where he started producing hip-hop beats on his family's computer. After a few years of production, M-D decided he wanted to do more with music. He started writing lyrics to his productions and soon began to release his self-made music online. His first official single, "Dolce Down," was released on Valentine's Day, February 14th, 2019, along with a professional music video, after releasing more minor projects online.
M-D's main genres consist of hip-hop/rap and pop. Some of his inspirations are Watsky, Chance The Rapper, Logic, Kanye, Jay-Z, Lil Skies, and Juice WRLD. The production side of M-D is heavily influenced by the likes of Kenny Beats, Nick Mira, Skrillex, and Flume.
M-D's music is made for everybody to enjoy and aims to inspire other artists that anything is possible with hard work and dedication. M-D's music sets him apart from the rest by giving off a fun, playful vibe. Sometimes he will switch up styles for something new and experimental, but still of quality.
M-D plans to put his hometowns on the map and bring people from the same area with him as he continues to grow and expand in the music industry in his new city of Toronto.
