Jeff Bell AKA Maa Bell started mastering the art of turntablism in 1991 out of the blossoming South Florida rave scene. Jeff spent thousands of hours mixing vinyl records on Technics 1200s turntables and a Ueri rotary Mixer. He played at many raves and eventually ended up in Hartford CT where he was the resident DJ at Velvet Nightclub and System Afterhours for the next 7 years playing Friday And Saturday night to thousands of people and also live on WMRQ 104.1 Radio 104.
During this time Maa Bell Started his production career. Over the next 5 years Maa Bell produced 8 songs that were met with great success and distributed on many labels. One was “In The Midnight Hour” by “SuperPower” made in collaboration with Dave Dresden (who went on to be 1/2 of Gabriel & Dresden) which became an anthem at Jonathan Peters’ Sound Factory in NYC.
In 2005 Maa Bell decided to walk away from the music business and change directions in his life. In March of 2023 Maa Bell felt the bug and started producing music again and here we are.
