Mac Benson

Quietly crafting indie-pop magic in bedrooms across Cumbria and Northumberland, Mac Benson uses his lyricism to speak frankly on the experiences of youth, love and queer identity.

2019 saw the release of his self-produced debut EP ‘Coming of Age’, a 15 minute delve into stories of growing pains, friendship and falling in love, with stand out tracks ‘Divine’ and ‘Home with Me’ receiving radio play from BBC Introducing.

In 2020, follow up single ‘Second Ave’ was reviewed by Into The Pit UK as an ‘airy offering, with pooled pavements and smiled lines’ and was named ‘Track of the Week’ by Little Dose of Indie.

Since then, Mac has taken some time away from releasing material of his own to produce and write for other artists, the first of such efforts set to release in 2024.
