Marcus Grufstedt was born and raised in Sweden in a musical family and started playing drums already at the age of 3. He showed interest in classical music at an early age and studied classical percussion at the Malmö University College of Music. Besides that big band has always played a big role in his music performance. Since the early 2000’s Marcus has been arranging music for various artists and big bands. In 2017, the idea of doing his own big band project was aroused. Mac Groover Big Band was born, and in May 2020 the band’s first album “Chopsless” is released.
