Originating from the small town of Maidstone in the south-east countryside of the UK, Macade started as a school rock band in 2018. Taking influences from hard rock and grunge artists such as Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins and Muse, the bands first original track, Insane kick started the sound that later evolved into tracks such as Sunset Rock, Pictures and Architects. Singer/Songwriter Sam Ashby the bands’ frontman choosing to incorporate fast complex solos seen in metal over classic hard rock sound, combined with the vague over descriptive lyrics. Their first EP being released on September 1st 2019 consisting of all six singles acting as demos for their upcoming material. All originating from the Kentish countryside, Sam first met bassist Joe Wensley at the age 9 later meeting drummer Adam Carter and guitarist Charlie Howes later at the age of 14. Sam first began writing music with Charlie Howes in school and began to build the structure that would eventually form Macade in 2018.
