Soweto-born Neo Makate – Macfowlen - first emerged as one of the South African Amapiano hit-makers , producer which we have seen release a slate of projects that found their footing on the dancefloor and on streaming platforms, such as Gong Gong, Ntombazana and recently dropped a juicy afro house track with elite Dj Zinhle, Zolani Mahola & DlalaThukZin In 2022, he broke out as a solo artist, releasing his debut single titled Ntombazana, which was well received on the streets, he also currently released a banger which is on digital platforms. His upcoming ep includes the hit track, "Nyamezela” the Ep also includes widely considered amapiano artists artists like The Lowkeys, Ntokzin, JazziQ and many more Amapiano pioneer, he is also considered one of the custodians of amapiano, through his label Waltz Music Group, Macfowlen has brought up artists like Boohle, Daliwonga, De Mthuda, Babalwa M, NkosazanaDaughter to name the list. Amongst other things his also the Board Member for Recording Industry Of South Africa.
