After cutting experience with names like Col3trane and Nilüfer Yanya, Harry Ling a.k.a Mackwood has already carved out a versatile niche between his disciplines of drumming, production and songwriting. His debut album 'Master Changes' is out October 17th, featuring premier musicians from projects like Kokoroko, Yussef Dayes and Cleo Sol.
With an affinity for progressive Jazz, beatmaking and alternative dancefloor rhythms, Mackwood combines the cream of UK and international Jazz pedigree with London’s burgeoning player/producer elite. His upcoming music continues the UK’s celebrated tradition of crossover sounds with a strikingly deft ear for sonic detail. He has made festival appearances at Lost Village, We Out Here and Love Supreme and played additional packed shows at the Royal Albert Hall, Ronnie Scott’s and Jazz Re:Freshed.
