Born in Miami and raised in Naples/Fort Myers, Florida, and now based in Tampa, Mad Mali is an independent hip-hop artist since 2016 whose sound fuses underground grit with raw emotion. Drawing from influences like $uicideboy$, Trick Daddy, Three 6 Mafia, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, and lyricists such as Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole and Hopsin, Mad Mali delivers a style that blurs the lines between alternative rap, punk energy, and drill intensity.
A U.S. Marine Corps veteran with two combat tours, Mad Mali channels the weight of his experiences and the struggles of PTSD into his music, using every verse as a form of therapy and truth-telling. His lyrics dive deep into survival, resilience, and the chaos of the mind — but always with a sense of purpose and defiance.
After returning to Florida 2014, moving to Fort Myers, Fl and building a name through local performances across the state, Mad Mali became known for his unfiltered stage presence and emotional authenticity. He has hosted independent shows, built a loyal grassroots following, and collaborated with fellow artist Ed Words to form the duo Mad Words. Together, they released the joint album T.I.T.A.N, a raw and introspective project that solidified Mad Mali’s place in Florida’s underground hip-hop scene.
Now residing in Tampa since early 2025, Mad Mali continues to evolve his sound and work on new music— a fusion of pain, power, and purpose — standing as proof that hip-hop can be both a battlefield and a form of healing.
