Mad Max is a revolutionary South Louisiana based artist, with a global perspective.
A break from the norm & in his own lane by default, At 25, he sets the bar extremely high with his lyrical accuracy and eloquence. A true artist in today’s climate — Mad Max is known for his originality, controversial content & critical subject matter.
Prior to returning to Louisiana in 2015, the German-born American songwriter lived in various places & military bases, before settling in New York at the age of 11. Around ‘05 he discovered Fl Studio & started experimenting with music production & beatmaking.
Growing up, music was next to oxygen and always abundant in the household so it was only a matter of time before making his own attempt. The earliest influences include 2pac, Deadprez, Lil Wayne, Nas, Prince, Sade, Keith Sweat, Three 6 Mafia, Nirvana & Cradle of filth.
Max wrote his first verse at 13 but wasn’t serious about recording music until he was 21.
The love for making beats shifted to writing along the way, and expressing life through lyrics became a need.
Following some legal problems in 2017, the focus changed and purpose was born in a montage of studio sessions which eventually led to the creation of his debut album “The Gulf”.
2020 and beyond, Mad Max is leading with his range & adaptability. Diligently working on the next project.
