Mad Muzik Cali heils from the soulful streets of the Crescent City. Cali is a ninth ward native, which is located in the downtown region of New Orleans. Cali is a lyricist, entrepreneur, and a motivational speaker.

Mad Muzik Cali’s introduction to rap is indicative of his passion and hunger for music in general. Cali had a very humble beginning. He would steal mics from stores and supermarkets and record music in his mother's basement for hours after he came home from school. Once he finished his first demo he began selling copies of it in front of corner stores in the 8th ward where he was able to save up money for professional studio sessions. This inevitably led to the release of his first mixtape called “Skinny Jeans and Some Chucks” in 2011. After releasing his first mixtape Cali began taking his music career seriously. He paid Big Freedia for a feature on his single “By the Look in Her Eyes”.

Mad Muzik Cali has a very distinct voice not to be compared with any other artist. Cali does not have a target audience, his music transcends all age groups, and all walks of life. The nature of his work allows for people of all walks of life to relate to his artistry. The one thing that separates Cali from other rappers in his league is his ability to create amazing visuals from his music. Not only is he a rapper, but a very talented cinematographer. His creativity is evident in all of his music videos, his most recent being “Worth It”.
