Mad Static

Mad Static is a hip-hop artist, poet, and songwriter, based out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Throughout his life as a teenager, he looked to music (specifically hip-hop, metal, and alternative rock) as a way of dealing with the pressures of high school and living up to others' expectations, that nearly led him to depression. Ever since he first performed poetry for his high school talent show, Static began going non-stop at writing and doing whatever it took to get his name heard.
Around 2005, Static decided to make hip-hop music a full-time ambition, as he began to collaborate and network with other local artists, in hopes to find his signature sound. A sound that would mix his spoken word roots, with other influences from his days of studying rap music, that ranges from everyone well-known to underrated. If not enough, a lot of Static's songs incorporate themes of mostly heartache, loss, and paranoia with the world around him, and recited in almost a stream-of-consciousness delivery. While the instrumentals behind his voice are subdued in hard-hitting drums, strings, pianos, and the subtlety of guitars, noting of his rock influence.


Mad Static is a man of many personalities, emotions, and ideas, to the point where you never know which side of him you'll get.
