Hailing from Milan, Italy, Maddalena Ghezzi is a London-based singer, composer and improviser. Her voice was described as ‘ethereal’ and her approach as ‘giving the sensation of something ancient but also otherworldly’ by JazzWise Magazine. Ghezzi has released four EPs (Amethyst, Halite, Opal and Emerald) as part of her series Minerals that feature on BBC Radio, NTS and Radio RAI. With her band FUWAH she has released one album Eŭropo:sen limoj (Europe With No Borders). Maddalena collaborates with Maria Chiara Argirò, Thodoris Ziarkas, Anything Pointless, Ruth Goller and has performed at acclaimed London night Moment’s Notice alongside Matana Roberts. Her upcoming EP Dolomite will be released 17th May 2024.
