Maddie Thies

Maddie Thies is a Twin Cities bassist and songwriter who spent formative years growing up in Seoul, South Korea. Thies has played in many local and international orchestras and bands, as both a bassist and vocalist. In ’21-’22, Thies won The Cedar Commission through The Cedar Cultural Center, gaining both local and international recognition, including The Current’s Scouting Report as “Musicians Causing a Stir in December of 2022” and in January 2023’s “Music You Should Know.”
