Maddy Vae

Maddy Vae is a Space Coast-based musician from New Glarus, Wisconsin. Self-taught in piano, vocals, and songwriting, Maddy has used music as an escape and a way to tell her story since early childhood. She remembers writing her first set of songs after being inspired by Destiny’s Child’s album Writings On the Wall, which still stands as one of her all-time favorite records today. She began learning how to record songs herself on Garageband at age nine, and hasn’t stopped since.

The art of storytelling through music intrigued Maddy from a young age, whether it was by The Chicks, Eminem, Aretha Franklin, Jewel, Alicia Keys, Kansas, P!nk, Ani Difranco, Christina Aguilera, or David Bowie. Maddy credits growing up surrounded by family and friends with dramatically different tastes for her wide range of influences and love for music from all walks.
