Madelyn Rose started writing music in 2020 after having played piano since the age of four; she later found something of a home-away-from-home in Nashville when she first visited country music’s capitol city in 2022. Later that year she was signed by Nashville-based label Vere Music, who released her debut single “Taillights Fade” in January 2023 and its followup “Won’t Be Me” in March.
Inspired by her "all time idol" Carrie Underwood -- part of the rich tapestry of country music Madelyn grew up on -- these songs functioned as essential tools for the young songwriter in processing her own heartbreak, while also carefully and gently opening outwards in hopes of helping other young people who might be struggling with similar emotions. “I want anyone who listens to connect with the lyrics and realize that they are not alone,” the sixteen year old singer, songwriter, and producer explains. “I’m going through life right alongside them.”
