MADHVD is a Los Angeles based Hip Hop artist whose musical journey started as a DJ.
As a child he was fascinated by his father’s record collection and began to tinker with many genres of music including Disco, Funk and Soul. During the Los Angeles riots he noticed the impact that West Coast rap had on his community and how powerful music could be. He was introduced to many legendary artists by his older brother who would later become very influential. Dr Dre, DJ Quik and Slick Rick were among some of the artists. He is passionate about the elements of Hip Hop and is determined to continue to add to the culture. He believes Hip Hop should be so much more and has lost its authenticity and ability to just be fun. He is MAD about reanimating the culture and continuing to stitch up different samples and sounds to create music that will soundtrack people’s lives.
