Maggie Brown is an Amsterdam-based indie band, formed in 2011. Their self-titled debut album was released in 2014 and reviewed by critics as "a beautiful ode to melancholy". In the summer of 2017 the band released their second LP Another Place. Recorded by Jan Schenk (Moss, Awkward I), the album combines melodic pop traditions from the Californian 70s with rock sounds from the European 90s.

Maggie Brown was selected for Popronde in 2018, and released two songs that year (Take Flight and Into Motion). In the summer of 2019 the band released three new songs, recorded by Martijn Groeneveld.
