Maggie Hite is on her way to new heights. The daughter of musically inclined parents, she was encouraged from an early age to take up an instrument (she chose piano), and her adolescent foray into musical theater drove her interest in transitioning into a full-fledged pop star. Since her early days, she has taken it upon herself to write lyrics and work on music even while holding down a day job. As with any passion project, it's about dedicating time, and Hite works on new music at least four to five days a week—sometimes more if she's working on a specific project and has the creative juices flowing—and has even used her lunch breaks to work on songs.
Hite describes her music as "relatable, fun, and catchy," and she counts artists like Tate McRae, Ava Max, and Astrid S. as inspirations. Plenty of new music is in the works for Hite, from "pissed off breakup pop to more sappy, soft pop songs." Songs like "Stronger," "So What If I," "Run," and "Shut Your Mouth" come with powerful titles that convey powerful stories.
With all the support she has been receiving, Hite is excited about what's next, especially because of her deep desire to connect with listeners, doing for her fans what other musicians have done for her. "I want to have my music be the thing that's able to say how someone feels at the exact moment they need it," she says. And that's exactly what she's going to do.
