Magma Rea carries the voice of change. Her music is organic alt-pop that connects people with each other and nature. Her soaring vocals celebrate the joy of life, while embracing the emotions that arise from experiencing the loss of nature and connection.
“I feel obligated to communicate about the crises and possibilities we face. I hope Plant the Seeds can be a song which motivates, inspires and brings light to the darker days. Keeping hope and community alive is crucial – without it, both we and our visions for the future wither.
It’s a joy to give the rewilded forest Lerbjerg Skov a place in pop music – cause biodiversity truly has sound. The fact that NATURE can now also officially be credited as an artist is a strong reminder that we must learn to value nature’s voice –not just as background, but as a creative and vital force” says Magma Rea.
Behind the artist name stands Margrethe Møller - songwriter, sound artist, facilitator and performer with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Climate Studies (DK & CA). Her concerts and workshops are centered around practices that strengthen the bond between humans and the more-than-human world: Spaces that create hope, courage and presence in community.
She is part of the musical collective Ekkosystem (DK), with Agnes Ea and Tusind Somre, working to spread ecological awareness, regeneration and political utopias through music.
