Magnolia Haven

In a cluttered garage in the fall of 2017, Cody Raines and Eric Light had a big idea. Despite living in Ocala, a town better known for horses than its music scene; the duo gave birth to Magnolia Haven - a spiritual child of bands such as Blink-182, Sum 41, Good Charlotte, Asking Alexandria and Bring Me The Horizon. The pair first turned to local drummer Charlie Bailey to provide the driving licks that would be a staple of their sound. In late December of the same year, fellow Floridian Jeremy Novotny joined the band as a guitarist. The following spring Cody’s brother Brandon came on board as lead guitarist, allowing Cody to focus on delivering the energetic vocal performances that helped to quickly make the band a local favorite. This hometown support has opened the door for Magnolia Haven to perform alongside well-known acts such as Escape The Fate, Slaves, I Set My Friends On Fire, Eyes Set to Kill, Picturesque, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus among many others. The band is back in the studio working on their first LP following the early 2018 release of their EP “Shots Fired.”
