Mahatva is one of the singers blowing up in Indonesia right now. His real name is Mahatva Zakie Annasyith Siregar. He’s Batak on his dad’s side and Malay on his mom’s side, and he was born in Riau, specifically in Rokan Hilir Regency.
Mahatva’s been into singing since he was a kid. Even in elementary school, he was already active in performing arts. He’d sing at weddings, festivals, competitions—you name it. Singing’s basically been a part of his life ever since.
Besides singing and writing songs, he’s also really into acting. He’s done tons of stage stuff: musical theater, traditional theater, realistic theater, even pantomime.
And yeah, he’s in the film and series scene too. He’s played roles in movies, series, and a bunch of short films. Some of those shorts have even made it into film festivals in Indonesia and overseas.
As for music genre, if you ask him, he’ll say he likes everything. But if he had to pick for his upcoming projects, his sound will probably lean more toward folk, ballad, pop, rock, country—stuff like that.
See you on the next song!
