MAHENDRA ist ein fesselnder Sog. Ein Strudel aus sphärischen Klangcollagen und intimen Pop-Hymnen mit Edge. In Blut- und Nervenbahnen, Herz und Lungen brodelt, zischt, zuckt und stockt es. Diffuse Empfindungen des Ausgeliefertseins wechseln sich ab mit Gefühl von Ankunft in einer Welt, die mehr ist, als die Summe ihrer vereinzelten Teile.

In ihrer neuen EP „KONSTRUKT“ behandeln sie Entfremdung und Abkapselung auf eine direkte und schmerzhafte Weise. Dabei nähern sie sich ästhetisch einem zeitgemäßen Hyperpop-anmutenden Sound. Die Stücke halten eine starke Spannung zwischen organisch analoger Wärme und digital artefaktischer Kälte. Verzerrte, extrem hohe Stimmen decken eine emotionale Breite von Wut, Nüchternheit und Trauer ab.


MAHENDRA is a captivating maelstrom. A spiral of spherical sound collages and intimate pop anthems with edge. Blood and nerves, heart and lungs bubble, hiss, twitch and falter. Diffuse sensations of being at the mercy of others alternate with feelings of arrival in a world that is more than the sum of its individual parts.

In their new EP "KONSTRUKT" they deal with alienation and isolation in a direct and painful way. In doing so, they aesthetically approach a contemporary hyperpop-tinged sound. The tracks hold a strong tension between organic analog warmth and digital artifactual coldness. Distorted, extremely high-pitched vocals cover an emotional breadth of anger, sobriety and sadness.
