Maja Louis

Growing up in a musical genius family, Maja Stojanović Louis, immediately found herself naturally drawn to writing, producing and performing from a young age. Born in Munich where she was raised, Maja was moved by Soul music and later Hip Hop with artists like Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Boys2Men , Busta Rhymes and many more. It was when she moved to Serbia, where her family is originally from, that her music roots took hold and began to blossom. Almost immediately upon her arrival, Maja found her place in her father Louis’ band aptly named the Louis Band. Being very energetic and ambitious, Maja formed her own band Maja St. Louis, with which she performed when not performing with her father. In line with the musical genius of the Stojanović Louis family, Maja also performed with her bother, Marko Louis, in the band Maraqya. Maja recorded her first hit “Ljubav”, with Maraqya, that went on to garner both critical and fan acclaim. With all this going on, Maja found time to compete in the 2013 edition of X Factor making it to the show’s finals. Maja often and continually works in the studio with brother Marko which also resulted in the duo creating the endearing son “Svet je tvoj” which was inspired by both of their children, Maja’s daughter Tatjana and Marko’s son Dima. The song was released on Marko’s pervious studio album, Euridika and Maja’s first album ‘Budjenje’. Maja is very close to her family and it is one of the main inspirations in her life.
