Majin Keuw, born Kaseem Yarber, is a genre-shifter raised in Grand Rapids, MI, originally from Benton Harbor — two worlds that shaped a third: his own. Sonically and spiritually inspired by film, art, and the quiet drama of life itself, Keuw is building not just asound, but a world of future R&B — one that bends genre without breaking emotion. Raised around gospel legends like the DeBarge family and Marvin Sapp, Keuw's roots were soaked in soul. But his ears reached further — devouring tapes and CD's of Seal, Sade, Michael Jackson, Destiny’s Child, Craig David, Coldplay, and neo-soul architects like Raphael Saadiq and Musiq Soulchild. He’s equally drawn to the futuristic percussion of Timbaland and Darkchild, and the emotional edge of epic film scoremusic, 2000s alt-rock and deep house, inlcuding major influences of salsa, reggaeton - where his music was first shaped. It’s all there — whispering in the margins of his lush, cinematic records. Keuw’s work feels like memory in motion — fluid, expressive, and free.
