Nembalemba Junior, known as Majoos, is a dynamic artist from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), specializing in Afropop, Congolese urban music, and rumba congolaise. Born in Likasi, Katanga, he is a singer, songwriter, and performer with a deep-rooted passion for music. At age eight, he formed the group Nembalemba Five with his cousins, inspired by the Jackson Five. After earning a high school diploma and a degree in economics from the University of Lubumbashi, Majoos pursued music full-time. He gained prominence through covers of songs by artists like Papa Wemba, Corneille, and Usher, with his 2010 cover of Papa Wemba’s “Endena” earning him fame in Lubumbashi. In 2011, he released his six-track EP *CQFD*, followed by his debut ten-track album *TAYARI 2.0* in December 2016. From 2017 to 2025, Majoos dropped several hit singles, collaborating with international stars like Koffi Olomide, Ferré Gola, and Mbilia Bel. He has performed at festivals and events across Kinshasa, Abidjan, Rabat, Cape Town, Dar es Salaam, and Johannesburg, solidifying his presence in the African music scene.
