Mak90 is a hip-hop artist hailing from the mean streets of Southeast San Diego. Being that both parents were members of a local church choir, music has always been present in his life. As a youth he began writing and exchanging raps with his older brother, who was in and out of jail. Conversations about starting their own record label sparked when Mak90 was in eighth grade, though his aspiration, initially, was to play a more behind-the-scenes role.. Things took a deadly turn when Mak90 was shot twice in the face at 19-years-old. Having miraculously survived a near-fatal experience, he knows God has kept him here for a reason, which pushes him to go hard.
His first big look came after the release of Mitchy Slick’s classic “Won’t Stop Bein’ a Blood” music video. He was also a guest on Mitchy Slick’s “Ball Forever” tour, which covered the northwestern United States. With so much material in the vault and still being created, Mak90’s journey is just beginning.
